A real Yorkshire castle. 150 acres of parkland. And a lot more going on than you’d expect.
Cave Castle has been here for over 150 years — turrets, stone walls, the lot — but it doesn’t take itself too seriously. We’re not a museum piece. We’re a proper hotelpeople come to eat well, sleep well, and actually enjoy themselves.
There’s three places to eat, an 18-hole golf course, a full health club with a 19-metre pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms, plus an on-site spa. Rooms run from castle chic to contemporary. And the events calendar means there’s almost always a reason to come back.
Worth knowing: we host live events most weekends, sometimes running until around 1am. If you’re a light sleeper, mention it when you book.
The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 10:30.
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in from 3pm. Check-out by 10:30am. A valid photo ID and credit card are required at check-in. Under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Cancellation
Flexible rate bookings: free cancellation up to 48 hours before arrival. Cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival will be charged in full.
Non-refundable rate bookings: a full refund is available if cancelled within 48 hours of the original booking being made. After that, no refund applies.

Children under 16 have restricted pool times contact us after booking and we’ll send the current schedule. Some rooms are internal with no external-facing window; if a view matters to you, let us know when you book and we’ll do our best. Health club, restaurant and bistro hours may change over the Christmas period call us directly to check before you travel.
