Lancaster Hotel - Oban

The family-run Lancaster Hotel is right next to St Columbas Cathedral and has a view of Oban Bay. Built in 1850, it offers snacks, meals and lounge areas.

From the front rooms you can look down the Firth of Lorne, almostthe way to Easdale and across to Lismore, Ardnamurchan and Mull. Each room at Lancaster Hotel has a TV and teacoffee making facilities.

In the morning, a breakfast is served in the dining room with breathtaking views which include the island of Kerrera with the distant peaks of Mull in the background. Breakfast can be eaten in the rooms and hot snacks include macaroni cheese and lamb hotpot.

The bar has darts, a pool table, dominoes, cards, a TV and a jukebox.

Oban Rail Station and Oban Ferry Terminal are only 5 minutes’ drive from the Lancaster. There is free parking at the property.

The hotel day starts from hour 16:00 and ends at 11:00.

Kindly note there is no lift at the property, and the rooms are accessible via stairs only. Therefore it may not be suitable for guests with mobility impairment.

Double Room. This room has an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, trouser press, a TV and teacoffee making facilities. One of the rooms has a flat-screen TV with built-in DVD player. ;
Quadruple Room with Sea View. This room has a small flat-screen TV with built in DVD player. It has two wall lights with dimmers for getting the children off to sleep with a night light. Other features include an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, trouser press and teacoffee making facilities. ;
Twin Room. Looking out to the Dunollie Woods to the rear of the hotel, this room has a trouser press, a TV, teacoffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a bath and hairdryer. ;
Single Room. Located at the front of the hotel, looking out the side of the hotel onto St Columba Cathedral, this room has en suite facilities, a hairdryer, trouser press, a TV and teacoffee making facilities. ;
Triple Room with Sea View. With a sea view, this family room has a small flat-screen TV with built in DVD player. It also has an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, trouser press and teacoffee making facilities. ;
Twin Room with Sea View. Located to the middle of the hotel looking directly down Kerrera Sound, this room has a small flat-screen TV with built-in DVD player, an antique Wallnut suite with Cheval mirror and teacoffee making facilities. ;
Double Room with Sea View. In the corner of the hotel with views out to Kerrera Sound and Oban Bay, this room has a small flat-screen TV with built-in DVD player, a hairdryer, trouser press and teacoffee making facilities. ;
Single Room with Sea View. These rooms have en suite facilities, a hairdryer, trouser press, a TV and teacoffee making facilities. ;
Basic Triple Room. This single room has teacoffee making facilities and a TV.
