Irton Hall - Eskdale

Once visited by Oliver Cromwell and Henry VI, parts of Irton Hall date back to the 14th century. It retains traditional timber framing and other charming features, but offers modern amenities like free Wi-Fi.

There are traditionally furnished rooms in the 14th-century tower, the converted ballroom, and separate self-catering apartments.have a flat-screen TV, iPod dock, teacoffee and a spacious modern bathroom.

Irton Hall has as on-site bar, lounge and restaurant offering locally sourced produce and local ales and a range of beverages. Hearty full English breakfasts are served in the lounge bar, with a selection of lighter continental options also available.

The hall isat the foothills of the western fells of the Lake District, between Wasdale and Eskdale. It is a 10-minute drive from the Ravenglass Miniature Steam Railway and Muncaster Castle, with its owl sanctuary.

Two-Bedroom Cottage. Lingard and Ormondroyd Cottages. Ground floor: Living room, dining roomkitchen, with a wood burner in the living room. 1st floor: Has 2 bedrooms, 1 double, and 1 twin. Also features a bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet. Suites can sleep 2 adults and 2 children. ;
Three-Bedroom Cottage. Lamplugh House. Ground floor: features a loungedining room, and a kitchen with a wood-burning stove. Open tread stairs to first floor. First floor: 2 double rooms, 1 with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 with additional double sofa bed, 1 further twin room, and a bathroom with bath and shower cubicle. Suites can sleep 6 adults and 2 children. ;
Family Apartment. Pele Tower. First floor: livinggames room with pool table. Second floor: dining roomkitchen, second living room and 4 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin, 1 double with additional double sofa bed, and 1 quadruple room). There is a steep spiral stone stairway to 5th bedroom, which has 1 double bed and 2 singles. Sleeps 14 adults and 2 children. ;
Standard Double or Twin Room. A Double or Twin room with a super king-size bed. Please request double or twin when booking. ;
Executive Double or Twin Room. A very large Executive Room featuring a breakfast table, a desk, and a super king-size bed. ;
Family Room (2 Adults + 2 Children). Very spacious Family Room with a large double bed and sofa bed, overlooking the front lawn. ;
Four-Bedroom Apartment (14 Adults). Known as Broughton House and located in the most original part of Irton Hall, this is an extremely large property with original staircase, stained glass window, and a four-poster bed with en suite bathroom overlooking the garden area. ;
Five-Bedroom Apartment (8 Adults + 2 Children). Known as the clock tower, this is a very spacious apartment with an open-plan livingdining area, 3 double bedrooms, a bunk bedroom on the ground floor, and a double bedroom on the first floor. ;
Standard Double Room. Features a spa bath and shower, an LED TV, a fridge, and tea and coffee facilities in the room. ;
Two-Bedroom Cottage. Cottage featuring a log burner, a fully fitted kitchen and beautiful views. ;
Three-Bedroom House. The holiday home features a dining area, a sofa, as well as a private bathroom boasting a bath and a shower. Guests will find a refrigerator, a dishwasher, kitchenware and an oven in the kitchen. The holiday home also features a barbecue. The spacious holiday home offers a washing machine, a private entrance, a tea and coffee maker, a seating area and a flat-screen TV with streaming services.
